Got Sand?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you know a 54 year old nurse was the victim of a brutal drive-by shooting close to the intersections of Cutting and South 37th at 2:25 this morning and another shooting last night in North Richmond.
At the Richmond City Council meeting this past Tuesday, the Mayor and some members of the Council has a lame discussion about coordinating and partnering with other city governments about teaming up together to better approach the issues of violence and killing.
TAZER NOTE: After some digging, we were able to confirm a discussion about coordinating and partnering with other city governments to "team up" about "better approaches" to the issues of violence and killing. Hey Council, don't you think the "discussion" should have taken place a little while back? Oh wait, things like our roads and health benefits for "domestic partners" that take up hours of time and patting yourselves on the back with "awards" is critical right? What a crock of s#%!
The Council knew that their backs were up against the wall, and they decided to forward Council member Thurman's item to the so-called bebop, jive-time, paper-pushing, pimps for youth "Office of Violence Prevention".
Tazer Note #2: How's that office of violence prevention coming along? The Tazer hears that in early June, the mayor will have a big announcement regarding the office at a council meeting, juuuuuuuuust in time for her to announce that she's running for mayor again...Irma, that LOOKS REALLY BAD.
THERE IS NO DAMNED LEADERSHIP NOR IS 'WAR ON VIOLENCE' BEING WON! The City Government of Richmond is asking the residents of the City to sit in their homes and be held hostage, while gangsters are allowed to control the city streets. The City Government is really saying if some one is killed on the street that IS a problem, but if the victim is only wounded by gunshots then it's ALRIGHT because that victim is alive from that act of violence.
The current Mayor's adminstration and certain lackeys on the Richmond City Council have admitted in private conversations they HAVE NO ANSWERS! The so-called Office of Violence Prevention was founded on foolishness and will be ran by fools. Ain't nobody down with the OVP!
Tazer Note #3: If this is indeed true, it is VERY SCARY. Everyone say a prayer (regardless of what you believe in) for this city.
The real Violence Prevention Movement condemns the Mayor's Office and certain Richmond City Council for not having the GUTS AND ACCOUNTIABILITY to state they have FAILED at winning this 'war on violence'. Time is running out, and THE LIVING HELL WE HAVE TO LIVE AND DIE IN THE CITY OF RICHMOND is unacceptable! If the City Government can't do the job, then call in the real Violence Prevention Movement and LET US DO OUR JOB TO CONTAIN AND REDUCE THE VIOLENCE AND KILLINGS!!!
The City Government is really telling the community to sit in silence and that 'we need to go along to get along' with the City Government's policies on fighting the 'war on violence'
What the MEN of this community NEED to do, is stand up AND be Fathers and Husbands, they need to DEMAND that the community has a buy-in to start containing and reducing the violence!
Our men need to be organised on both the political and community frontlines, and forcing the City Government to acknowledge that they live in Neverland with Michael Jackson and that our citizens are dying in the streets of Richmond FOR NOTHING!
You know ladies and gentlemen, Richmond has become nothing more than another Belfast, Baghdad, or Kabul, they all translate to the killing fields of slaughter! In the past four years over 131 homicides have occured, and the body count is still rising! And the City Government still remains silent, and the killing fields of Richmond still continues. To hell with all of that political garbage, their postion is both offensive and unacceptable to our community!
I thank God that the lastest victim is alive! I pray for her and her family. The Violence Prevention Boycott still continues! God bless the citizens of the City of Richmond!
Yours in the Struggle for Human and Civil Rights in the City of Richmond,
Mike Ali,
Committee of Families for the Safety of Our Children

What in the hell is Irma Anderson thinking to hold onto an announcement for early June?
Unless she's waiting for something to connect -- some sort of agreement with neighboring cities, let's pretend -- then that could be a chain of events over which she has no control.
However, if it's a political calculation, a POS idea will still be a POS idea.
So, prove me wrong, Irma! If this announcement of yours is worth a s#%! you'll just go ahead and say so. Maybe less people will die.
